The Electronic Cigarette

Electronic Art and Electronic Cigarette : A Very interesting parallelism.
As the traditional bohemian stereotyped artist is supposed to wear a scarf, and to smoke the pipe or some hand rolled cigarettes , The Electronic artist is supposed to vape the electronic cigarette.
This is a quote, so, is not something can be discussed.
Pure truth.
So, obviously, being an Electronic artist, I had to turn myself into an electronic cigarette vaper.

La sigaretta elettronica

Arte Elettronica e Sigaretta Elettronica : Un parallelismo davvero interessante.
Così come l' artista tradizionale stereotipato deve indossare la sciarpa, e fumare la pipa o delle sigarette autoprodotte , L' artista ELETTRONICO deve svapare delle sigarette ELETTRONICHE.
E fin qui, tutto mi pare abbastanza ovvio.
Semplice Logica associativa, Oltre al fatto che è scritto su INTERNET (giusto 3 righe più in alto), Quindi, ovviamente, come artista Elettronico, mi sono ritrovato ad abbracciare la pratica del fumo elettronico.

Odysseus and the Sirens (or the mermaids, maybe)

Once he hears to his heart's content, sails on, a wiser man.
We know all the pains that the Greeks and Trojans once endured on the spreading plain of Troy when the gods willed it so all that comes to pass on the fertile earth, we know it all! Odysseus was curious as to what the Sirens sang to him, so, on Circe's advice, he had all of his sailors plug their ears with beeswax and tie him to the mast.
He ordered his men to leave him tied tightly to the mast, no matter how much he would beg.

Ulisse e le Sirene

Le Sirene incantano tutti gli uomini.
Chiunque udisse la voce delle sirene non gli concesso ad alcuno di tornare indietro e vedere la moglie e i teneri figli.
ULISSE era curioso di ascoltare il canto delle Sirene, dunque, su avviso di Circe, chiese ai marinai di coprirsi le orecchie con la cera e legarlo all' albero maestro.
Ordinò ai suoi uomini di lascialo legato, anche se avesse implorato di liberarlo.
Quando iniziò a sentire il canto meraviglioso delle Sirene, ordinò ai suoi uomini di liberarlo, ma essi lo legarono ancora più stretto.

Comets, solo exhibition from January 4, 2008

Friday morning, at noon, we inaugurate the project comets to the bakers.
"Comets" is a work of digital animation in 3d, created by the artist Claudio Castelli and curated by Me (Mauro Papa).
It represents groups of virtual people who travel to the Nativity.
The three Kings, but not only: characters of the contemporary age and characters of the ancient age, in a timeless dimension.
Thanks to its technical features, the 3d installation is composed of heterogeneous versions that reflect different observation points and time phases.

Comete, Mostra personale dal 4 gennaio 2008

venerdì mattina, alle 12, inauguriamo ai Bigi il progetto Comete.
“Comete” è un’opera d’animazione digitale in 3D, realizzata dall’artista Claudio Castelli e curata da me (Mauro Papa).
Rappresenta gruppi di persone virtuali che viaggiano verso la Natività.
I re Magi, ma non solo: personaggi dell’età contemporanea e personaggi dell’età antica, in una dimensione senza tempo.
Grazie alle sue caratteristiche tecniche, l’installazione 3D è composta di versioni eterogenee che riflettono punti di osservazione e fasi temporali differenti.

Digital animation Techniques-Accademia di Bellearti di Brera

Techniques of digital animation, a laboratory course at the Accademia di Brera, to introduce students to the creation of a digital animation, to free technique, starting from the theoretical bases, and introducing the use of 3d animation techniques through the Software Blender.
The course had a very laboratory imprint, had the duration of a semester, trying to follow and organize the creative ideas of students, and to guide them in the realization of their work.
I ignore the current fate of the course, I have not been reconfirmed, and I have returned to my usual activities.

Tecniche di animazione digitale – accademia di Bellearti di Brera

Tecniche di animazione digitale, un corso laboratoriale presso l' accademia di Brera, per introdurre gli studenti alla creazione di una animazione digitale, a tecnica libera, partendo dalle basi teoriche, e introducendo l' uso di tecniche di animazione 3d attraverso il software Blender.
Il corso ha avuto una impronta molto laboratoriale, ha avuto la durate di un semestre, cercando di seguire e organizzare le idee creative degli studenti, e di guidarli nella realizzazione della loro opera.
